BEYOND THE SALE Sarah Spencer is the president and principle broker of Spencer Realty Services, with Keller Williams on the Outer Banks. Sarah is a graduate of James Madison University and native to Richmond, Virginia where her father was a custom builder, introducing her at an early age to her life-long love of real estate.
After graduation, Sarah launched her career in investment/vacation real estate in Duck, North Carolina. Afterwards working in Nags Head and then as a Broker-in-Charge in Corolla, Sarah distinguished herself as one of the top brokers on the Outer Banks.
Sarah goes BEYOND THE SALE for both her buyers and sellers. She offers more than the traditional scope of a standard real estate agent. She consults with buyers to make sure they are getting the best possible purchase for their specific investment needs. The relationship continues with her buyers throughout ownership. She helps build equity and improve the ownership experience by offering advice, vetting quality vendors, optimizing property management options and keeping clients up-to-date with market trends.
For sellers, she provides pre-listing preparation, focuses a marketing plan specific to the property, and then uses her skills a veteran negotiator to get the best price for her clients in the shortest amount of time.

Sara or “Hester”, as referred to by team members, works with Sarah as her right arm, left arm, second brain, etc. Along with sharing the same name (without the H) she shares the passion for going above and beyond for clients. She has been active in the real estate market as a licensed agent since 2015 and specializes in keeping clients updated and organized! When not working, Sara enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and color coding everything.

Growing up, I watched my parents buy and sell houses every 2 to 3 years. I’m a self-proclaimed Coast Guard brat and moved from coast to coast more times than I can remember. You could say that I’ve seen quite a few properties around this country throughout my life. However, my favorites have always been those on the Outer Banks, a place I visited often, and the home to my family dating back multiple generations. The fact that my grandfather is the renter of PO Box 1 in Manteo says it all.
My professional background is diverse, from Immigration and Customs Enforcement to managing large properties in the hospitality industry, but the thread that ties all of my experiences together is the idea of helping people and making their lives easier. I focus on organization and processes, always aiming to be one step ahead. I know that buying or selling a home can be a stressful experience, but utilize my love for great customer service and efficiency to make it a great one for all of my clients.
After spending time in Washington DC and Raleigh, North Carolina, I was ready to come home to the Outer Banks. I live on Roanoke Island with my loving husband and Disney-obsessed daughter, and am passionate about this community that we’ve grown to love.
